How is Myofascial Release Different?

In its normal healthy state, fascia will stretch and move freely / fluidly without restriction. However, fascia can become dense and stuck due to over / under use, injury and trauma. Symptoms include inflammation, scar tissue, trigger points, stiffness and poor posture. All of these things can result in chronic pain.

Myofascial Release (MFR) is a specialised soft tissue therapy that works with the body’s connective tissue known as fascia. Fascia surrounds and connects everything within our bodies including muscles and nerves.

MFR techniques stretch and release the soft tissues of the body using slow sustained pressure, without force, restoring fluidity and creating a healthier cellular environment.

Sustained pressure MFR techniques can be integrated with Trigger Point Therapy and Massage to offer a bespoke treatment for chronic pain.

MFR techniques can be used to treat plantar fasciitis
